My Scarlet Tears

My Scarlet Tears

A Poem by LittleGlassWings

Juliet, said the moon
Why do you cry?
And a scarlet tear fell from her
Pale glass eyes
She smiles in sadness
Looking upon her broken heart

Juliet, said the stars
Why do you run?
And she hides behind her hair
She reaches to him
High from her window
As the dawn has shatters into night

Juliet, said the sky
Why do you hide?
And in a broken whisper she speaks
He alone has loved me
And not even the heavens
Can take this from me

Juliet, said the moon
Why do you cry?
And I whisper, and I smile, and I speak
Because I… was never Juliet
And he…was never my Romeo.

Chills. Yup.

Excellent piece. The repetition was great, the last two lines concise and speaking stories. Powerful, vivid, beautiful, sad. Great piece.
