The twisted story of life

The twisted story of life

A Poem by Kryptonite120613

I won’t waste any more tears

I have lived my biggest fears,

I have suffered great losses,

I have defeated all the bosses.

I loved like never before

Then he met the door,

So I’m telling you now

To take your bow

Because with you

I never flew.

With you all I felt was lust

There was never any trust,

Whenever I see you smile

I feel as if I ran a mile

Your eyes will shine so bright

But I’m here hiding from the light

Because with you

I never flew.

I’m never sure what to say

It’s a struggle every day.

Your name is like poison on my lips,

As I go through lives dips

I have learned not to care,

To take life as a dare.

As I lay here in bed

I sometimes feel dead

Your name is like poison on my lips

His hands placed gently on my hips

I do things that shouldn’t be done

I do things that just aren’t fun,

But I do them to escape you

Because with you

I never flew.

To me we were forever

But to you we were never,

I started a game

That ended in shame,

There are words unsaid

Texts left unread

Life brought pain

I started my reign,

Because with you

I never flew.
