Love is You

Love is You

A Poem by Karina Longo
"

To someone I haven't found yet.

"
Hear! -

Beat of a thousand drums,

psychedelic, unique song

that comes from inside

that comes from the

artistic mechanism

of my very own heart.

There ain't enough sun

to enlight this mysterious

internal room.

Oh, no electric light

or silver moonlight

that could electrify it all

that I feel - right now -

Yesterday

Tomorrow

And again

and, and...

What is love, what is bliss?

What is desire, how hard is to miss

someone you cherish and would even die for?

Love - isn't that complicated

even if you're not plain,

and far from easy to explain

Love is you, my other half-soul!

You are what takes me higher

and away off my fears

The one that would save me from

my darkest side

with a simple kiss -

And a whisper

of truth

and

love.

I know for a fact -

Fairytales, they do exist.

Yes, they do -

but, of course, thanks to you!

You are love, my sweetheart -

My eyes, a tap dropping tiny bits

of purity and happiness - eternal bliss

My smile could be a painting,

as your love brings the life inside me

As a whole, I shall repeat -

Love is you,

indeed,

my best discovering.

What a wonderful poem this is. He must be a lucky man to have such a wonderful poet for a girlfriend. I love the simplicity of this poem. No hidden meanings or secrets, everything layed out for the reader. You are direct and blunt in the meaning, but manage it in a way that sounds whimsical and poetic.
I love the lines
"Love is you,
indeed,
my best discovering."
(although perhaps disovery would be a better word gramtically)

I don't see much wrong in the way of technicals otherwise. Excellent Poem

I like the light and hopeful feel of this poem.
Your lie 'of truth', indispensable in any relationship.
The last line really is clever.

Nice!

A superb write! Whimsical and yet deep, with great metaphors to highlight its meaning; of how we view what we call love, and all the reasons why we love that one special personality.
