One Day...

One Day...

A Poem by Karina Longo

I look through the window
though it's morning - there's no
little sign of a raising sun.
No colours, no nothing - if I could see
anything
apart from mind-blowing flashes
of an easy cheap attempt of
killing romance,
I'd die for such a
true living.

And one day, when we realize
the whispering wind
softly whispering in our ears -
"Life's only one to live"
We're gonna cry our bittersweet tears
and drown into all the love
we've missed.

But if for one day -
I'll have to wait - eternity -
Oh, I shall, I will!
If - for a chance of
kissing the lips of
an unknown reality
which I dearly miss.

(One day, oh one day...
I shall meet you again!)

I keep coming back to this because I can't come up with anything constructive, and I generally dislike leaving reviews that say nothing but good work. But I have nothing else this time. This poem is pretty much flawless. Strangely though, I'm not sure its my favourite one of yours, but it IS certainly up there. This is a great poem. It flows really well, there aren't any other technical errors. Your word choice is excellent. And it conveys your message beautifully. Well done

A beautiful and powerful poem. Remind of a old movie where the girl is waiting for her lover. I like the description and the story in the poem. A outstanding poem. Thank you.

"drown in all the love we missed" Wonderful imagery, and just about time all hope is gone, you inject it at just the right time.
