Last Drink

Last Drink

A Poem by Chloe Christine
"

This is a poem inside the head of a drinkier. Tell me what you think. :) Enjoyy.!

"

Another bottle down

The smile's faded away

Sleep is the long journey

I cried for everyday.

I've been there before

In that quiet place.

With not one single friend

Too help me face too face.

Everyone left me

Cause the addiction overcame

And I still held on too alcohol

Every single day.

It stared at a young age.

Maybe twelve, or thirteen.

When that day in the woods with him,

Got the best of me.

I've made many a mistakes

But on that faithful day

Everyone cried

Cause they lost me in May.

Addiction made me lose control

The headlights bright,

I didnt see it coming

Until I saw the light.

This is great. I really like your style of writing, it's intense and you paint a vivid picture of your feelings. Well done.
"And I still held on too alcohol" should this be "And I still held on to alcohol"?
