Set It Free

Set It Free

A Poem by Liz

Contorting into shapes unnamable,

Extending limbs far and wide,

Making a final entrance,

The last time at center-stage,

Brightly shining through darkened eyes,

Embrace the moment, breathe it in.

Sometimes when you love something,

You’ve got to set it free...

I love how sentimentally sweet your poem is. it resembles a scene where a great dancer says a bitter sweet goodbye to the place the dancer loves...
"When you love something you've got to set it free..."
That line blew me away...
CHEERIO!!!

So short and sweet. Loved it. Simple and yet very romantic.

Great stuff, easy to picture what is happening :)

unapologetic and wise, fierce imagery with a lack luster thought of grammatical difference, well done.

"contorting into shapes unnameable extending limbs far and wide" I got the image of something being purged from a person's body. Something deep inside them that once made them whole being expelled. To me, this poem is like a painting depicting a heart breaking. good work.

Wow, I really like this. The ending took me by surprise like x10. It flows really really well, too. Like an intricate track that I followed until the end and it's perfectly constructed. Good job :)
