If The Rain Were My Tears

If The Rain Were My Tears

A Poem by Mercury Mirrors
"

It probably would be true =/

"

Sad, old time-y love songs play softly in my brain.
Lulling me, pressed to the window, staring listlessly at the rain.
If I gathered up all the tears I cried, & climbed up to the sky,
I could scatter them across it & not an inch of the Earth would be dry.
Not even the driest desert could survive my solidified sadness.
The Sahara would be an ocean, the world would succumb to madness.

I love the last line. It makes me feel as if your tears have covered me in at some point. You did a great job!
