Aimed To Kill

Aimed To Kill

A Poem by Mercury Mirrors
"

Song About Kat & Don.....any girl that calls herself cat or kitty or w/e is USUALLY a w***e...in this case yes yes very much.

"

I look deep into your eyes, like it will give me the answer.
To why the love you’ve shown me, is killing me like cancer.
To why just her name can run through my heart like a knife,
The way you look at her, the way you kissed her, could claim my life.

She’s got a sniper rifle, aimed at my bleeding heart
She’s ready to kill.
I’ve spent too many nights, kicking, ripping myself apart,
Popping too many pills.

I’ve tried too many times, to kill this irrational feeling.
Why is it when you’re touching her, it sends my temper reeling?
My fingers itch to wrap around that pudgy little neck you carress,
And squeeze till she pops, And show you who’s really best.

But…

She’s got a sniper rifle, aimed at my bleeding heart
She’s ready to kill.
I’ve spent too many nights, kicking, ripping myself apart,
Popping too many pills.

I don’t know, I don’t know where this catastrophe will go,
But I can count on just one absolute fact, & I know.
That I have always been, & will always be able to do it better.
I will win, she’ll twist in the wind, like a wispy feather.

So why is it that…

She’s got a sniper rifle, aimed at my bleeding heart
She’s ready to kill.
I’ve spent too many nights, kicking, ripping myself apart,
Popping too many pills.

Dang girl...you rock on with your bad self! This:
She's got a sniper rifle, aimed at my bleeding heart
She's ready to kill.
I've spent too many nights, kicking, ripping myself apart,
Popping too many pills.
Kicks some serious butt. I love it! Your writing definitely lives up to the title! Nice job!

That was sic. Like a bullet to the brain was the emotion passed forth (or a high-velocity round to the heart, I guess).
A good change to all the passive-aggressive poetry that I've read of late; sounds like it would make an excellent punk-rock song.

This sounds a lot like song lyrics or at least that's how it reads. Good job.

I wish I could tell you the answer, but they probably don't even know. At least that's the excuse I like to delude myself with. So much easier to replace pain and rejection with anger and hate for the rejector, isn't it!?

Good luck in the contest!
