He Was Beautiful.

He Was Beautiful.

A Poem by Mercury Mirrors
"

badumbump...

"

You were so beautiful, standing before me in the light.
Blinding like the Sun, so warm, so bronzed, so bright.
But then I walked away, & my days turned to night.
The Sun won’t rise for me anymore, & I can’t win this fight.

All the memories of you squeeze tears from my eyes.
In those strong, warm, muscled arms, I would gladly die.
I still feel them wrapped around me, late at night when I cry.
I killed the most important thing to me, I killed you & I.

To be responsible for your pain is just crushing.
The blood in my ears from the tears I can hear rushing.
Rough fingers on my cheeks I can feel gently brushing.
But you’re not real & from me the agony is gushing.
