Me and Muhammad

Me and Muhammad

A Poem by Brian F. Lockard

Sometimes I get a little political...

We wouldn’t see eye to eye on many things, I feel. I mean, Jesus would only want my eye if I took his…

But this guy, I just can’t understand

He wants my head

My fingertips…

No questions asked

Idk how my girl would react knowing I think of furry, desert prophets

When I see the elegant crease between her chest

Or the brown hair on her head that transcends unholy limitations

Her lips she softly bites during mild bouts of pleasure

The muscles in her legs that ripple as they saunter along in 6 in. heels

But what can I do except wonder…

What illness must a man who professes clairvoyance,

Ultimate wisdom,

Be infected with

To smother, degrade, and conceal

Some of God’s finest work…

Oh, well

I have to get to work of my own

The bacon’s frying
