Gasping for Air

Gasping for Air

A Poem by H
"

Saint Paul, MN

"

Lovely tears and lovely smiles

Haunt my every memory

Trees frozen against the horizon

Beckon the lonely

I'm falling down again

The gold is tarnished

The nights are black again

The stars don't shine

In my eyes anymore

They're dead inside

The spark didn't last

The flame burned dim

And the icy night put it out

I'm trying to remember

Your honest words

The ones that gave me hope

I can't seem to find

What I wish for desperately

ohh sad words ..its so hard feeling so desparate..
but these feelings always come and go..you should always dismiss them
how you described sadness so strongly
when i fall down all luster tarnished..my eyes wont shine again
like they used to ,dead inside, that old spark never did last
tried to remember those smiles used to give me hope
but cant find them ,no more
lovely write..

my feet sink into the earth reading these pleads of hope of happiness as they are so grounding in knowing what was had, lost, and wanted so badly again. keep fighting for the happiness..
