Dear......

Dear......

A Poem by Lola_Bee

In he walked, a stranger with a familiar air

Subtly I felt something stirring within my soul

Our eyes met with only a brief stare

Hidden was something Rare

“Dear heart be calm I was told”

As days passed every meeting became a journey

The mere sight of him sparked uncanny emotions

unexplored connotations

Hold back wantings of deviation

Dear Soul, Be calm I was told”

A word or two, then hours engulfed in Conversation

A connection this strong ,a preconceived correlation

We are within  separate relations

Ideas, thoughts, imagery, in my head I find

“Dear Mind be calm I was told”

The first touch, energy racing through my imploding Heart

What was to be, is this the start?

The attraction was beyond me

I could barely see, his touch had set me free

“Dear Body be calm I was told”

All my senses awoken, Only with his words spoken

Gentle soul, purest of heart, inquisitive mind, Racing spirit joined to mine

We have already crossed the line, our hearts entwined

“Dear Love be Bold,

Magical adventures await I was told”

Beautiful poem. Describes the process of infatuation leading to love in a flowing and eloquent style. Loved it!

I believe there are magical encounters for all to experience by all at certain times and places in life, just need to make the most of each moment and not allow our hearts to get lost with it🌹

I agree with Coyote, this has a nursery rhyme tone to it.

You have written eloquently about the thrill of attraction and love and the bodily sensations that occur when one finds and is swept away by such love.

Finding such love is becoming increasingly rare. For it is one thing to find such love, but another to hold on to it through the trials ahead.

Enjoyed the write. Nicely done.

Aww, I do like this one that really emphasizes that learning one another gradually is so important but when the realization hits that it's for real, love, then you've got to let go and give it all you got.

Your poems are utterly amazing! I can't help but fall into the story of your poems every time I read them. You my friend, are talented.
My favorite segment was,
"What was to be, is this the start?"
Meaning, that is this the start for Lola to become one of the best poets of 2017?
