Mornings Dawn

 

Within the first rays of mornings dawn,
I see the dreams of lovers who yawn...
Sleepily they rest,in the slumbering light,
keeping the dream 'till morning sunlight...
Holding onto their last gasps of love,
waking the morn' by the sounds of a dove...
Cooing her love,stretching her wings,
awake in her arms,my heart sings,...
Holding me close,holding me tight,
within the mists of mornings light...
Soft moans of passion,lingering on,
alone together,to hear the dove's song...
In time with my heart,it can't be wrong,
feeling her love,and how I belong...
Within the first rays of mornings dawn,
the moon is down and the stars are gone...
Feathery clouds,the color of rose,
flowers blooming across green meadows...
The last darkness of the night still lingers,
a butterfly lands on the tips of still fingers...
Greeting the morning with a little smile,
warming the heart with grace and style...
The rustle of grasses,something near,
grazing this meadow are two young deer...
One is a doe,the other a fawn,
silently feeding this beautiful dawn...
Hearing the song from within the trees,
echoing softly upon the breeze...
The song we hear is from the dove,
singing our song,singing our love...
Sweet music to my lonely old ears,
stopping my pain,stopping my fears...
Together in slumber,time rolling on,
within the first rays of mornings dawn...

Thank You,I wrote this while on a camping trip last summer,
trying to get away from the stresses of city life,
