Summers Nostalgia

Summers Nostalgia

A Poem by Lauren94

The long summer evenings, when the sun is slowly leaving,
The neighbour's dogs are barking, the ice cream trucks sounds are startling.

And in the distance the children are screaming and the lonely poets look out their windows dreaming, believing in achieving.

Summer's smell lingers through the air
The breeze gently touches your hair
You're in tune with the changing seasons
You bask in nature's beautiful creations.

Summer's dusk is warmth and appealing
Summer's nostalgia is a returning feeling.

I believe the days of Summer are not long enough here in Michigan. When I was station in Texas. Summer was hell.
"Summer's dusk is warmth and appealing
Summer's nostalgia is a returning feeling. "
I liked the above lines. Summer's day seem slower and kinder. Thank you Lorenzo for sharing the excellent poetry.
