Between two breaths

Between two breaths

A Poem by Lorry 4.4

In the solitude of silence,
lost in the moment of being,
calmness replaces the white noise,
that we have grown too deaf to hear.

Within these glimpses of stillness,
resting weary body and mind,
time takes a break from eternity,
making this moment all there is.

Being replaces all doing,
no questions to distract the mind.
No worry of what ifs and maybes,
just you and the space between breaths.

Scotland isn't too bad but it depends where you've been and what you come back to. I agree with you entirely - live in the moment if you can. Remember Rabbies mouse - still thou are blessed compared with me, the present only toucheth thee.
This is a profound short poem!
Cheers,
Alan

“Just you and the space between breaths”- so tender and infinite. Eloquent, poignant meditative, with meaning in and between each word. Time sometimes waits for someone...the one. Superb poem.
