Hidden in the Shadows

Hidden in the Shadows

A Poem by Once Upon a Heartbreaking Scene

I am bent and now I am broken.

I am scared and at the same time disfigured.

I am sad and will always be hopeless.

I am tired, standing but forever be lifeless.

Fear ate my whole system

What things have I done?

For bringing off ferocious things to destroy my being.

So I cry.

I don't know how it started,

but I decided to quit and leave it behind.

Put out of sight,

so no one can ever know.

Everything has its own beginning but no ending.

Some, but most of the time,

the protagonist will hide in the shadows of its past,

So you can’t even see what’s real in them.

the fear of what we don't know is to come can be debilitating ...it can make us inert...
the shadows never go away and we are absorbed in them.
I like this...not the two different colors of type...
we have to figure out what is real and what is not in ourselves before we can relinquish that fear.
