What is best for the Earth

What is best for the Earth

A Poem by J.A. Harris
"

This is just one of many possible point of views about our species

"

The reason countries of the world are overpopulated and even more

are

underdeveloped is because of society’s need for rules and borders.

If we were to live as a truly free species then the Earth itself would

 thrive.

This would happen because complete and total freedom for our

species would be

 Anarchy.

It would destroy the ideas of civility that society has

established throughout history and in doing so, Anarchy,

would save the planet from the most destructive force it has ever

seen,

the Homosapiens.

History has shown us that there isn’t any limit to the levels of

evil man will inflict upon man.

We are the only species on the planet that kills through malicious

torture and in the name of ideas.

As we find new ways to defy the forces of Nature in our neverending

quest to prolong human life throughmedical advancements

the Earth and all of it's inhabitants will suffer.

It is humans that knowingly cause the extinction of other species and

in our arrogant ignorance we believe that

taking pictures while writing it down is enough.
...
Through our quest for technological and medical breakthroughs we

have become the most

devastating virus the planet has ever seen!

We continue to defy Nature with the depletion of the Earth’s natural

resources and the corruption of the

planet's atmosphere and in doing so our viral appetites become

more and more insatiable.

What we fail to understand is that we cannot control the forces of

Nature

but Nature can control us!

At any moment in time Nature can destroy every single living

organism on the planet and the Earth will continue on.

Either by our own hand or an act of natural forces our species is on a

crash course for what is best for the Earth.

We are headed for a cataclysm that will give the planet a chance to

heal itself.

Once the Earth is ready, the never ending quest for advancement,

which starts with a single cell,

 will begin again.

I agree at every bend. Well written. Why are we so elated when we create a new war machine, but we can't even cure basic illnesses? I feel sorry for the earth having to bear our toils.
