When the Peasants Stand Their Ground

When the Peasants Stand Their Ground

A Poem by Louis McKraker

[i]

When the peasants stand their ground--

The king is forced to abandon the crown--

[ii]

When the peasants flood the gate--

Let there be made no mistake--

[iii]

Before the sun sets on the estate--

The peasants will have marked his fate.
