A Cat's Dream

A Cat's Dream

A Poem by Lourisa

I closed my eyes and saw a fish
swimming in my water bowl.
"Don't make me a dish,"
the sweet fish asked,
"but take me back to the rabbit's hole.
He's preparing a feast
and all is invited,
so please take me east
I'm so excited,
to dine on a cat
just imagine that!"
I opened my eyes and ran to my bowl.
No fish in there,
just ants running to and fro.

I own two felines myself and if they could read this, they would laugh like I'm doing right now.

As near surreal as you'll get on a wet morning! Love the way this goes, builds momentum, line by line and is still there, quivering away. Love it, happily!

No dont be serious! I loved this! I must admit that I am a cat person so I can perfectly picture this in my head! I love fun poetry like this! You have perfectly portrayed a cat's independent but fun-loving personality! Great job!
