Escape Love

Escape Love

A Poem by Cynthia Yildirim
"

The love you desire yet cannot have...:)

"

Escape Love

Peace, stillness, love
Crazy as a dove
A Dove of love's escape
Memories slowly wake
A mantel where portraits hang
The song he once sang

Enlighten me this night
Under the silent moon light
Where we once ran
Hand in hand

He calls me once a day
Only in my mind he stays
If I had him I would cry
From this devil inside

Take me humble port
Upon your shores of disacort
Swing me gently in your wake
Feed me, pleasures cake
Return him to me
Make him see

From this I shall not sway
This feeling is my only way
To feel his love this day
I tear his photo in my book
From which I wish to never look

Lover, friend you are gone
Regretfully, my love shines on
You still sing your song
In your wispy breath
Often bringing lust death

So again I say
Enlighten me this night
Under the silent moon light
Where we once ran
Hand in hand

Beautiful.
Your imagery is flawless.
You completely ensnared me into your words, your kingdom.
Delightful.

This was a beautiful piece and I loved the visuals, you did a great job capturing the reader and the essence of what a person desires but can not have.

nice ... sounds as though a love that has been lost perhaps ... seems as though pains of the heart often brings out the 'best' from a writers heart ... doug

Very descriptive words. Good imagery. You make it easy to feel the love you have for this person. Nicely written.

I think this a very good poem. It flows well and rhymes very well. And the longing comes across, of wanting and not having. In the poem it seems as if there is enough going to keep the wanting going. It is very well written. LIke its something that once was but is not anymore. It runs along like a song, maybe it could be put to music.

I liked it very much,

Tina

Now this is a poem! A song... I have reviewed a lot of poems lately and I feel, by far, this has been the best. I think it should be put in a few contests. Lovely, indeed!
