Hate

Hate

A Poem by E.I. Scott
"

Stages of hate

"
I know what hate does. Hate destroys, hate consumes you until there is nothing left
Your vision becomes blurry, chest and eyes are filled with fire.
Judgement becomes worse than an alcoholic on this 5th bottle.
Hate makes you not want to live, it makes you want death to come as soon as possible. Hate is the most poisonous thing a person can feel. Yet it feels so comfortable, feels so right.
Try as you might, the grip around hate is so tight that not even a chainsaw can cut through it. Hate is dangerous, yet can make you courageous. Hate is powerful, depletes your energy. Hate is devoid of love, but sympathy has not yet eroded completely from your psyche. Love is the only thing, that can cure hate.
What happens when there is no love around? You try to find it, try to invite it, but no one wants to give it.
Hate hurts, the pain is sharper than any knife. The hate demands the knife be pushed in further and twist it.
Hate does not care about your screams or demands. Will you let it go? That's up to the hate.
