Inevitable Tide

Inevitable Tide

A Poem by Little Crow

they say it's
the darkest before
dawn
but that does
not apply
to missing you
I miss you the
most
just after the sun
sets

as I lay my head
down to rest
the scent of
vanilla
lingers at the edge
of my senses

I feel it like
waves in my gut
it comes and it
goes
the pain of
your absence
laps at the shores
of my heart
as the sun sets
golden in the
distance
