Washed Away CleanA Poem by Luke L
The beautiful cleansing of the trees
As the earth quakes from up above The chilling thoughts Of homemade childhood rugs and blankets As you curled up safe and warm In awe of the storms An ant in a sea from over head The sky a blanket of grey with blueish hue Somehow expansive not as claustrophic As being overcast on a hot day You are more in touch The eye between your vision eyes Opened wide with a purple gleam You can feel the energy Between you and the Mother The trees shiver and drip In colourful focus even on dull background You can't explain how visual and audible and tactile Everything is with mere contrast alone You are haunted by loving ghosts Of childhoods in the forests When you could first see What mother and father were closed off to Marvelling at the power that could erase At a whim The life of toys you've accumulated All gone Washed away clean
