Extinguished.

Extinguished.

A Poem by Luke Cazalet-Smith

I looked, and I saw Beauty. I saw the birth of a Star. She shone radiance. She emitted elegance. Yet, she was sad. For when she looked, she saw destruction. Which poisoned her soul with despair. She had become overwhelmed with a sense of devastation. This dampened her. For she no longer shone with that intense allurement I had known her too. She had become depressed. Plagued with bitterness and resentment. The glow that once burned so furiously within her had become extinguished with anguish and hate. How can you wish upon a star that does not shine? It's simple. You can't.
