not alone

i’ve colored outside the lines of life

till the borders of my composure

are ambiguous at best

no amount of white-out can correct

the now squiggly lines

yes, the even span of years past has been navigated

(a carelessly tossed cigarette burned what was left of it)

reverberating with the echoes of life

my composure is not too steady

hey, it's time to accept it 

i’m just a victim of time and gravity

and i'm certainly not alone

Nice piece for reflection, Lydi. Knowing that we are not alone struggling through life's complexities, we will constantly stretch our arms, move our feet even for some steps...at least making a difference in life with those people who believe and support us. Life is beautiful. Few experiences of sadness should not be a reason to forget the blessings and joy this life brings us.
