we inspire one another....and that is so wonderful!

your words give birth to mine
massaging my world
     sparking it
bestowing inspiration
with kisses of thought

my fingertips tingle
dancing with rhythmic syllables
my thoughts sway very near yours
never quite touching them
          propriety being what it is

reigning over separate spherical empires
               swollen with connotation
they ramble at times
     like an old woman’s thoughts
yet they design a mellifluous language
i yearn to speak fluently

You've very clearly said how we borrow each others thoughts.We can' t be accused of plagiary.. We inspire each other to write.. i liked the line which "respects social propriety" ,we don't ape lines.. but our same thoughts are penned differently- every poet has a unique style. Liked the message of it :) liked the title" your words"- clearly prepares the reader to experience the impàct of his words on others.

Unfortunately, there is plenty of plagiarism on the internet....I was a victim of it myself. Using concepts and running with them is one thing, but using the same words in the same phrase in a poem, well, that is not legal...and not ethical either. Thank you for your review, Sophy. My gosh, I never thought I had a smile in me today, but this poem made my evening :) What a joy this was to read my friend...it's like a love letter to poetry itself...I always believed that poetry was the language of two distinct frames of mind: angst, and romance, and you've crystallized the latter with gorgeous precision...now if I could only tilt myself in that direction too haha Not that I could sum it up with the eloquence that you have, and you sprinkled in a bit of titillation to boot ;) Damn this site for taking away my library ability, this should definitely be in my favourites list...one of my favourite Lydi compositions...love this one :)

It makes me think how magical words can be, how much words (and especially) words in love can do... written by two people who feel this intensity. You and this muse make words dance, I feel the magick, the gravity of love, and the creativity, that seems to flow so naturally. I love the last line, for when one is love-drunk, there is a greath truth to that... awesome Lydi, so creative again. I really enjoyed it.
