Happy Birthday, Kelly!

a poem for Kelly Scheppers.....long may we read one another's words!

She is a versified vixen

an enchanting minstrel 

who strums syllables of sensuality

as easily as she manages bittersweet memories

on this, the anniversary of her birth, 

Keats will smile and Marilyn will curtsy

while a spectrum of suspended notes and echoes 

meant for only her

pirouettes gracefully to western shores

butterflies will flit to her tune

raindrops dare not fall and the sun will shine brightly

till tonight when the man on the moon blows a kiss

          to Kelly

a friend who means so much.  

 

Happy Birthday, Kelly!
