the night undressed me

the night undressed me

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

artwork by harry weisburd

i remember being barefoot ‘neath the stars

then the night undressed me

at least that is what i told myself afterwards

since there was no other logical explanation

i was wrapped in the lace of sizzling urges

a raiment of intense desire encased my world

my very essence now controlled by passion’s dance

ah, the surrealistic charisma of the night

the magic of arousal held my breath

i thirsted for your kiss- your touch

you were the object of my lust

providing a bacchanalia worthy of dionysus

willingly i stepped off the cliff’s edge

falling into a fantasy

truly that is how it happened

when the night undressed me

and for a few glorious moments

concupiscence ruled my world

how did I miss this erotically delightful poem Lydi... I love it when the night rules us thusly, touching us and then watching the fall... such wondrous joy it is to be so undressed and ruled... but of course we must blame it on something... that darn night baring us to all those eyes who are just jealous of that surreal magic...

you know Lydi, I love your fantasy, it is always just so damn "nice" and shiverlicious giving me goosebumps...

Thepleasure is always mine.
The night brings our emotional need to satisfy
The day brings the joy which fills the heart.
Without the balance, we cannot enjoy the feelings we express now in such a graceful way.

Thanks for stopping by, Mona. Lydi**
From the very first line, the reader gets feel of seeing an often played and favoured memory being painted, that captures us all into the wish that we felt it too. The ending must be written in invisible ink though, as it definitely ended in my ears with a happy sigh :)
