speak

speak

A Poem by Ms. Starr

you want to ask me a question.
i can see it peering from between the cracked skin of your lips.
my heart is tapping a fast paced rhythm in anticipation,
listening with hollow interest and selfish intentions.
it's hungry for your attention, famished and bored from the consistency
of a dull patterned existence.
you want to ask me a question and my breath is already forming an answer.
the scent of your skin is tickling the back of my throat.
the feel of your heat is stuck to my flesh.
i am absorbing you for the last time.
you want to ask me a question and i just want to hear your voice.

About
I enjoy writing. I don't do it enough. I'm unmotivated, uninspired, and have learned that unless you are deemed important or special enough for modern society, your words will generally go unheard. I'.. more..

Writing
oh, god. oh, god.
