Intensity of soul transfixes and binds, crushing near unto thee

Liberal words slathered richly, captive and willing I fly

Lighting the way through shadowed mists, trusting what I can’t see

Understanding truth �" seemingly false �"  messages twisted and free

 

My muse of life and beautiful death, spirit of the void I reap

Into your arms I cravenly crawl, hold me and ne’er let go

Nearing the shore of our blissful dream, keeper of time, oh keep

Ask not what dreams shadow mine own, descending into the deep

 

Tell instead your hopes, your dreams inventive mystique reveal

Interpret for me storied grandeur; weave your craft so fine

Oh love of night, sweet views divine- shadow, shape and instill

Never depart from within my soul muse of life and death: reveal

Beautiful language, very mysterious and mystical inkeeping with the theme. Also an interesting rhyme scheme and lovely cadence - it's almost musical and rolls sweetly on the tongue. Quite simply this was a pleasure to read, a dream even. Expertly done. ♥
