Persephone

Persephone

A Poem by M. Kari

Like a whisper,

a breath, She arrives-

Bringing her welcomed warmth

Washing over me in waves of delight

So tactile and soothing, my hair disarrayed.

With colorful explosions, kaleidoscopic visions

Purples and pinks, yellows and greens

Sweetest angel, heaven’s scent, so serene.

An inward breath, an exhaled sigh

Like a whisper, a breath

She arrives.
