Lie Here

Lie Here

A Poem by M.A. Maxwell

Oh my lover carry not a sound
Cry through the night until the mornings found
When you feel your hearts been cast away
Remember we can lie here for a day

Lie here and cry
Lie here until we die

When the world outside is bitter from the cold
And the mind inside suffers from what it's told
And the reasons for our change today we must put on hold
We lie here and hide

Oh my lover heavy soul you'll try
Pained by the ones you left in a time gone by
When you hear the words of yesterday
When you feel you cannot live a simple way

Lie here and cry
Lie here until we die

When the world outside is bitter from the cold
And the mind inside suffers from what it's told
And the reasons for our change today we must put on hold
We lie here and hide
