Fall

Fall

A Poem by Mylifeinheartbeats
"

A poem about not being good enough. It's a poem about realizing that you are being watched, even if only by the people who love you. The feeling of not being okay and harsh realities.

"

Fall, fall, fall

Crash, burn, grind, I'm not alone, though

Spirits, Machines, Lovers, fall fall fall

Crazy, mad, insane, don't push, so pulled

Fall fall fall, we're all the same

Stop, the presses are coming, turn around and fall

the pity, the damage, the monster, you!

You fall, fall, fall, until you hit the ground

The ground, fallen out, falling

can ground fall?

The media is on its way

Report, fall, fall, fall

Go home, where you belong, I don't belong anywhere!

Fall away, everything falls away

Perfect, they're watching, be F*****G PERFECT

Good face, good percentage, fall fall fall

You have to be the BEST

you have to WIN

Fall, fall, fall, I'm falling

Can't keep up

Watch out, the cameras are on you, the cameras

fall, fall, fall

the words change, not fall, fail!

I'm failing. Again.

I'm falling again.

Fall, fall, fall.

This piece resonates to me about how a person will place self judgement upon themselves so to the pressures from what they perceive, even if that perception may or may not have a basis in reality. A person smiles and says to us, "You're doing good." We smile inwardly and say okay. They say, "You're doing good." Without that smile and we cringe inside, damning ourselves that we haven't worked hard enough or done enough to make a better impression. Yet, which is reality? Probably neither, as we as human beings tend to create our own view of ourselves and have already chosen to beat up on ourselves before anyone ever speaks.
Yet, the feeling of failing and falling into some sort of black pot of hell or depressionville brew is a reality to our emotions and can be hard to deal with at times. This is why I believe it is a true friends duty to make their friends smile and laugh at least once a day! It's the only known cure after all. =)

Thanks for penning this poem that made me ponder!
