Wars are not won by the strong

Nor by those most religiously devout

Wars are won

By the biggest gunned

Those who’ve bought views

Projected in living rooms

 

And those bought the tide of loyalty

The tide flows and ebbs

Ebbs and flows ‘til a higher bid

 

Almighty Dollar rules!

Those who lack are those who need

But those who have, are blessed to receive

Your model servants are greedy and corrupt

While the impoverished and honest are viewed with contempt

 

In a world where the Almighty Dollar is still seen as god

Justice can never, no will never be found

We sacrifice our lives at your temple doors

All the while screaming, “More! More! MORE!”
