Marooned

Marooned

A Poem by MOON

Where do we go when dreams are no more?

Where is this life what is its core.

Deal out the cards, what it is for?

Twirling party dresses bought in a store.

When there is a knock, who opens the door?

Does the marooned ship ever leave the shore?

Sometimes the sweetest taste just leaves you raw.

Every battle fought ending in war.

Remember a time, tell me what you wore.

Red flagged dresses for bulls to gore.

Expressions of love that finally tore.

Chronicle  of a fairytale, another folklore.

It is always interesting to me how images flash through my mind when reflecting on some question about life...to me, this is what your poem conveys. Clips from your life, with special meaning to you, and symbols of such as we have in dreams.

Interesting puzzle here. Where do we go when dreams are no more? as the old song
goes, you have to have a dream, or how can you make a dream come true?

The imagery is just wonderful. It makes you think and you take the reader on quite a trip. I hope my marooned ship leaves the shore.

Where do we go when dreams are no more?
Where is this life what is its core.

So well put, Everyone sees life as such a happy thing.
unfortunatly the world is cruel place, ripping away everything we love at times.
it always helps to look back at how things used to be, to reminice.

Excellent poem.
