Eulogy for Tom

Rare, is it, that a man is celebrated in life
And that his death is do widely mourned.

Even rarer, is it, that a man is remembered for hundreds of years to come thousands even. I can not say if Tom will be remembered for as long as Caesar or Saigo, but I can say I'll remember him.

Most those who make music are at heart poets. So I think we can relate to alot of them. Cohen Petty, and so many others are poets. Take away their music and they'll still have their words.

I can't say I was his number one fan, but I still enjoyed alot of his music since I was a kid and I'll continue to. Even if I can't relate to the lyrics. A musician is still just a poet, and a poem is just an elegantly shortened story.
