Dance

Dance

A Poem by Mackenzie
"

This is about dance and how it makes me feel/how much I love it

"
Arms in position, ready to go
Beautiful costumes, they sparkle and glow
Changing the moves as you go along
Dancing is when you move to a song
Every step is never out of place
Feeling free as you turn with eminent grace
Gaining strength and respect with every jump
Hoping and praying you won't hear a thump
Imagining nothing's impossible at all
Joyfully knowing, you'll never fall
Keys are like dance, they open new doors
Learning new things like never before
Maybe, just maybe, you'll learn you can fly
Now more than ever, reaching for the sky
Occasionally doing a kick or two
Possibly there'll be a show for you
Questions get answered when you move your feet
Realizing dance, has it's own beat
Satisfaction is normally what people would get
Tears fill their eyes, but they're not upset
Using a style that's all your own
Viewing the world as it's grown
Warmth in your heart is the message dance sends
X marks the spot, where the dance ends
Your performance was a total ten!
Zing, it's done, let's do it again!
