Little Crow

Little Crow

A Poem by Mai Aliza

Black and Beady Eyed

Flying High

Looking down on others

Smooth feathers and dark beak

Blending with darkness

Standing out in the sunlight

Clawed feet and bloody beak

Cutting through the moonlight

Provoking fear in children's dreams

Small and strong

Looking down again

Searching with it's sharp eye

 It is the Little Crow

And has always been the Little Crow

Who

                 watches

     you.

Everywhere i go, it seems like there is a crow who follows me. So i thought i'd write a poem about it.

A interesting, subtle and dark yet sweet piece. It brings to mind the film The Crow but your piece as a childlike wonder kind of feel to it.

I think as long as he doesn't drop anything on you, your OK. LOL Nice observation. From his vantage point I'm sure he sees a lot of people that notice him.

Yes these are sinister birds. You do paint a good picture of that, haha i almost felt them like the child catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Nice work.
