Perfect Paradise

Perfect Paradise

A Poem by Meowllory
"

The perfect place to be. Written in my youth.

"

The lush flow of water

Rippling daintily over the rocks below

Mist showering my face

Like kisses from a young love

I lounge by the lake bank

Greeting the waves like an old friend

I take in the angelic sounds

Of the song birds’ alluring voice

While the wind tickles my neck

Like a lover’s breathe

The rustle of dry dead leaves

As to calm me

The pitter-patter of humble forest critters

Scurrying to their homes

I see a willow in the distance

Waving madly as to warn

Laying lazily in the plush grass

My sun-kissed skin splayed across the pillow soft earth

Looking up to the heavens

Making friends with the snow-white clouds

Breathing in deeply the fresh, clean air

My head resting on the warm grass

Hugging me like a warm embrace

I start falling under a light slumber

With sounds of trickling waters

Pampering my ears

Images of my perfect paradise inhabiting my dreams
