Dew Drops

Dew Drops

A Poem by Manpreet
"

When the night falls in love with the moon.

"

Dew Drops

Over the fading evening spreads its wings slowly

She ushers on earth like a sensuous beauty

With velvety touch comes the deep dark night

Shining in its best attired like a shy bride

On a guided path with time her eternal keeper

She unfolds discreetly her fiery beauty dark and deeper

Amorously moving this dusky beauty filled with pride

The keeper counts her changing folds quietly by her side

Her eyes dreamy like a drunken goddess

Flirtatious stars competing for her intentness

Waves of passion flashing through her heart

Her flawless converse with time ticks the start

She stretches her arms to embrace moon the wanderer

He flashes his cape and changes her darkness into silver

But he never stops to drink from her wine so sweet

She bathes her dark beauty in this promising need

She enraptures boundaries of control embracing him

The keeper ends all counts holding back his whims

The Wanderer moves away towards the destination unknown

She gathers beads of broken moments losing sight of the known

The keeper dismisses her audience back to her retreat

She vanishes and leaves behind those moments scattered on her seat

The wanderer longingly watches her go aching to stop

Array of these velvety moments lovingly called dew drops

What I really like is the excellent rhymes, good structure and fine use of language.
Another example of great poetry from India, an example of how one should use the English language with style and intelligence. Good work.
