Reproach

Reproach

A Poem by Michelle Tarnowski
"

....And in its place, the vandals chill reproach shimmering....

"

The Ghosting of memories
a faint replication of love
become a poison mist
stealing the breath
stopping the beats of the heart
in the momentary paralysis of sorrow
Emotions rising up from the abyss of the soul
still reflect the sweeping loss
like a river gone wild that left nothing in its wake
while cold threads of despair wove in and out
contracting and severing all warmth
And in its place, the vandals chill reproach
shimmering like a silver gray mirage
Untouchable…..unstoppable…..unpredictable
Undeniably true
