A Poem by ViolationPhilosophy

Kiss. Love. Pain.

I paint your heart.

Eyes. Lips. Hair.

Years apart.

Strange. Hurt. Lonely.

Where are you?

I search for you, only,

Only for you.

There is no heart in paper.

There is no love in paint.

Your face in my memory

Seems to faint.

I forget all the bad we had,

I forgive all the good you did,

But your face from my old paintings

Looks killed.

Well written, simply stated. A sad poem. Thank you for sharing. Debileah

I don't have much to say except that I like this. I don't see what possible criticism I could give to you.

I love the line 'I forgive all the good you did'. It has exactly the effect you were hoping for, I'm sure.

Aurgh. That makes no sense.
