Locked Away

Locked Away

A Poem by Margaret Marie Hubbard

I sail this sea that has bequeathed my mind

upon this wooden door, still throughout time.

The lymerics and lyrics lap at my feet

as I reach for the note my fingertips meet.

"Within the pocket lies the unlocking key."

I look in the hole and see only me.

Perhaps I'll unleash this ocean someday

and share with the world a vast array.

Until then I'll lay cold, alone in defeat

as the lymerics and lyrics lap at my feet.

I'd say, we should all start building an Ark. Definitely unleash that ocean Margaret, your work is solid stuff.

So beautiful. The flow is respectable.

I love the last line, 'as the lymerics and lyrics lap at my feet' i can almost picture someone sitting on the sand at a beach alone, with the water (or lymerics and lyrics) lapping at their feet. Just the imagery i got from that ;)
