When Angels Give Up

Imagine if you were an angel, trying to create peace among humans, trying to make Earth better - yet, all the time it got worse, all the time you failed...

 

I’m so tired of this world,
so tired of all this speaking ill of each other,
so tired of all this hate.
I have not the slightest faith in humans anymore

I’m so exhausted with trying to create peace,
So exhausted for counting all the wars
So exhausted by watching all this torture.
I have not the slightest hope for humankind anymore

I am so angry with all these power seeking creatures
So angry because they do not see truth
So angry because they will not listen
I have not the smallest trust in humans anymore

I’m so tired of this world,
So tired of all this lying to each other
So tired of all this despair instead of trying
I have not the slightest wish for helping humans anymore
