A Stamp Of What Seems To Be Love

A Stamp Of What Seems To Be Love

A Poem by Mark Mendoza

A Fiery being wraps its tentacles across his frail, tempertureless neck.
The oxygen he once knew seizes
Perspective as he knew it rearranged to an artists new set
What is this eccentric warm embrace he pleaded

Love

Unidentified and utterly confusing
Yet he could preview love
A tranquil entity undoubtedly with kindness brewing
The feeling unbearable

In thick opaque waters does the creature reside
With a sky that is enveloped white

He stares onward and above
To the stamp of what seems to be love

Love has the strength to raise you above the clouds, and also powerful enough to throw you hard to the ground, breaking you into pieces.
Well written.

Thanks for taking the time to review glad you enjoyed
yes, this creature love....unless we can come to terms with it, it certainly has the power to destroy us...

Love has both the power to heal and the power to kill...much like emily dickinson said of "words"---
