Leave Yesteday

A Poem by MARK my Word

Memories cannot be separated
in the mind and human heart
like flesh and in its soul
and the words that are untold
the morning has risen
the sun's beauty has been revealed
routine in everyday be twisted
when legacy is laid on the way
better is to sing a happy song alone
than to live the day with yesterday

when legacy is out of the way
to sing a song of HAPPY BIRTHDAY
is no longer sang on the start of the day

I wanted to know more about the Happy Birthday line. I feel like this poem would be stronger with no rhyme or complete rhyme. Also, the word "Oblivion" in the title, along with the mention of "legacy" and "happy birthday" in the poem makes this one a little hard to understand. Thanks for sharing :)
