Heart AchesA Poem by DaveHeart Aches When my heart aches will she be there to ease the pain? Will she look for the smile that is gone and isn't to be found. I think not, she took the happiness she shared along with her She buried me in the darkness of loneliness, afraid, unloved. To hold her once more, feel her softness, warmth next to me, Her hand in mine as we walk unafraid life's path together The brightness of her smile, the glow of her hair on my pillow Oneness so complete there was no more to ask for. I wonder what I said, what I did to chase her so far away. I look for her hoping that wherever I look she will be there. Would she see the smile I wear only for her, would she care? Could I possibly find happiness in seeing her smile again?
