A Whispered Warning

A Whispered Warning

A Poem by Mars Bear
"

Not often I rhyme.........but I have this time.

"
A whispered warning sails on the breeze
Another death slowly falls from the trees
Crushed under foot by blackened beat boots
Leaves decay with under grown shoots
Bark without bite flakes from the trunks
Rotten and rancid tombstone shaped stumps
Red tinted earth the colour of blood
Puddles of danger cover the mud
Footprints are many leading away
But in my spot I'm destined to stay
A sentry stood here out of the light
A stalker of creatures that come out at night
For I am the man who sits on the moon
The dark side of course, watching earths doom

Wow, I really like this. You have really outdone yourself with this one. I love the guy on the other side of the moon watching earth's doom. Valentine
