Breathe

Breathe

A Poem by M. Marson
"

A poem to younger, anxious me.

"

In the moments when you feel alone, remind yourselves where you come from.

Remember the love that surrounds you, and put the pain away beneath you.

Look around and see the beauty.

Find value in the intricate details of the earth you walk.

Count the flower petals on the soft, blooming rose growing outside your window.

Take a deep breath.

Let the cold, light air travel throughout your body and let it search for a place to escape.

Give the air the freedom to explore you.

Don’t be afraid of it seeing you whole.

Let the air find it’s place of escape.

It is time to stop holding your breath. Let it go.

Let all the pain and suffering go.

Let all the doubts and endless amount of excuses slip away like they never existed.

Allow yourself to to take a breath in, but more importantly, allow yourself to breathe out.
