What drives you

What drives you

A Poem by Marvin

Glory has a long story
be sure yours will be so
hard earned, like cutting down a mammoth tree with a hand saw
glory may eat you raw
it has a two way story

success comes in many faces
for it has won many races
owned by those with guts
those who dared venture outside their hearts

fame is lame
its something you can not tame
it comes and goes, just the way it came
and leaves behind shreds of an empty frame

so what drives your dreams?
When your light dims?
